A lamp I designed and branded during a summer program at Cornell University's College of Human Ecology.
We had to imagine how we would take something apart and then actually reconstruct it organically. While most people worked on animals, I wanted to build something that had room for interpretation and more intervention opportunities for design.
I conducted comprehensive research and explored different points of intervention in order to develop a design solution in response to the UT Campus Carry Bill. I heard compelling arguments from peers and speakers for and against the bill. I decided to create a solution for the many people, including myself, who were anxious and worried about the bill's passage. My solution focused on a way to both cope with and dispel those apprehensions.
My idea for the interior of the pod was inspired by James Turrell's Skyspaces

Optima Type Specimen
A type specimen I created at a summer program at Parsons Paris. I wanted to tell a sort of story of the background of the Optima typeface.
